Overview

MUSH:ROOM is a Local Photobooth Brand designed around the idea of Connection and Memory.

As photobooths reemerged as social landmarks, MUSH:ROOM reimagined this nostalgic photo-taking ritual as a playful and warm experience that invites people to share moments together.

Being the Lead Designer, I am responsible to use visual identity and spatial storytelling create a warm and playful atmosphere across brand, print, and environment to drive business value.

Design Direction & Brand Identity

Mushroom = Retro + Warm + Playful

Amid Hong Kong photobooth brands like Snappy, Ditto, and Snapio focused on trend and aesthetics, MUSH:ROOM stands for emotional connection, focusing on nostalgia, warmth and a joyful atmosphere.

The brand uses orange and green as core colors to evoke friendliness and balance, while the Cooper typeface reinforces a soft, approachable tone. A playful mushroom character logo anchors the system, blending nostalgia with contemporary simplicity to create an identity that feels warm, memorable, and human.
